From: Dave Brown
Subject: FW: Clean up day at the church

All,

I think it would be great for our troop to participate in this service to one of our sponsoring organizations.  I will be out of town on April 1, so I am looking for a few adult leaders to take the ball and round up some scouts who would like to get service hours and participate for at least part of this church clean up day next Saturday.

Volunteers?  Thanks.

Dave

All -

Please pass this along to all members and friends of Webster Church.

On April 1st, the Trustees are hosting our spring cleanup.  Rain date is the following week.  We will organize into two groups - indoor and outdoor - to tackle various duties.

We're going to meet at 9:00am and conclude around 3:00 or so

I am asking for help.  It doesn't matter how long you can stay.   We'll have something for you to do.

Please let me know who can attend and which group you would like help.

Here's a tentative list of things we need to do:

INDOOR

Stove - reinstall top cover and clean

Clean kitchen

Mop floors in social hall

Paint window sills

Paint entrance door frame to social hall

Light bulb replacement in Sanctuary

Paint garage (I will power wash and maybe prime the garage before hand)

Fix ceiling tiles in Sanctuary (behind main speaker system)

Paint ceiling located at the bottom of the front staircase

OUTDOOR

Depending on whether we get new doors for basement - replace existing doors with doors with windows (required by insurance)

Threshold repair on front door

Front hand rail - paint

Edge/weed/mulch

Rake and bag leaves

Clear trees near parking lot

Plant plants in planter under church sign (front of church)

Stain rear deck off social hall

Paint parking lines

Wash new windows

If there are other items, please let me know.  We'll work this list the best we can with the help that arrives.

Note, there's a lot of little painting projects.  Please brings appropriate gear - brushes, scrapers, rags, drop cloths, etc.

Also, rakes, bags, paper towels, and such are needed as well.  Use common sense - if you have something in mind that you would like to do, bring what's needed.  Be prepared (learned that somewhere along the line)!

Please let me know the 3 things you'd like to work on.  I'll try to plan accordingly.

Lunch is on me.  But we need someone to oversee putting it together.  I recommend that we order pizzas or subs, drinks, chips, etc.

Finally - this is worth 5 get into heaven points - 6 if you do a go job.  So please attend.

Thanks for you help,

Curtis
